All of our winter puppies are settled into wonderful new homes. Now we are just waiting for Kassie to have her black litter sometime in the next few days. Our grandchildren were quite disappointed she has waited until after their weekend on the farm. After basking in all their attention, she may now get down to the project at hand. We’ll keep you posted.

Introducing Kassandra!

We are very excited to be adding Kassie to our breeding females. She is a Katie daughter, sired by Brew. Since her grandmother Keisha is retiring from breeding Kassie will be taking her place. She has passed all her clearances and is expecting her 1st litter of puppies in early April. These puppies are sired by Hunter and will be black. Kassie has a very loving and affectionate nature and we are looking forward to this litter with great anticipation.

Introducing our Yellow Fellows!

Katie’s puppies are here!

Katie has a beautiful litter of 9 puppies born January 16. All are growing like weeds and are very active for this stage of their lives. No posing in a nice line for these babies. We have 5 boys and 4 girls. They will be ready for their new homes early March. We’ll keep you posted with more pictures in a few weeks when they are looking more puppy-like.

Keisha’s puppies are 4 weeks old!

Here they are! Keisha’s puppies love to eat, play and sleep with the occasional little bark thrown in. They are fun to watch develop. The red and pink strings are the females and the boys are the other two. All have found wonderful families to welcome them to their homes just before Christmas. We are hoping to have puppies from Sunshine and Katie in the new year.

Summer at Dora Lee Labradors

It has been a great summer at Dora Lee Labradors. We’ve had lots of visitors which means more games of fetch and walks than usual. We’ve also been introducing everyone to the young pups that will join our breeding females as they pass all our required testing. It is great to watch them develop as each one has their own unique personality – some traits from their moms, others from their fathers and then some that are just them.
Our next litters of puppies are expected to be available late fall and in the new year. We’ll keep you posted.

Susie has Retired!

Susie

It has come time for Susie to retire from her breeding days at Dora Lee. She is now available to a good home. She is in excellent health and has had her hips and eyes certified clear as well as DNA testing negative for EIC an CNM. Susie is a pleasure to take for walks on or off leash. But her favourite outside activity has to be playing fetch with our other dogs. She is very attentive and affectionate and loves to please. A large amount of her time is spent outside in the runs but they are in the house at breakfast time for an hour or two and of course she has been in for weeks when she has had her puppies. Susie would be ideal for a family who would prefer an older dog as a companion and family pet. As of today, Susie has found her retirement home with a wonderful family in Whitby, Ontario.
